Give the gift of language!

The holidays are here and what better gift to give than knowledge of another language! Consider giving the gift of semester tuition to the Central Kentucky German School for your youth or adult learners!

The youth class will have carry-over beginner students from the fall semester, and the adult class is starting fresh in January (although all currently enrolled have some prior knowledge of the language).

Continuing until midnight Christmas Eve, we will offer a $25.00 holiday discount making your total semester tuition $450.00 for either class! Hurry as this deal will only last one week! The discount will be noted on your final invoice which will be emailed to you. Once you receive the invoice, you can easily pay online with a debit or credit card (through our secure PayPal system), or you can pay by check.

Youth classes resume on January 10 and the Adult class begins on January 17.

Danke and Hope to see you in January!

CKGS is off to a great start! Don't forget to enroll for the Spring Semester!

We are pleased to report that the 2014-2015 Schuljahr is off to a great start. We had our initial few classes with Herr Lucas, and a running score by teams of ultimate Frisbee during recess. The past two weeks have been lead by Frau Jillian and the students have loved every minute of it!

We are now taking enrollments for the Spring Semester. Please complete the registration form at http://www.ckgermanschool.com/p/registration.html and select semester tuition. After the form is submitted, you will receive an invoice where you can submit your payment. We are offering the following discounted rates for next semester...

Enroll by October 31 and pay the discounted rate of $400.00

Enroll by November 30 and pay the discounted rate of $425.00

Enroll by December 31 and pay the full rate of $475.00

Open House Scheduled for August 30 from 1PM to 3PM

Please join us for an Open House Celebration on Saturday, August 30 from 1PM to 3PM at New Hope Church on Tates Creek Road in Lexington. Incoming students, as well as interested families and community members are invited! There will be coffee and light snacks - you can meet Lucas and the instructional team as well as other families and students! Hopefully our new CKGS euro style auto decals will be in by then too (giveaways!).

One lucky student (all who attend are eligible) will receive a $200.00 off discount for full year tuition (or $100.00 off for semester tuition)!

Please drop by to visit! Our enrollment deadline has been extended to Sunday, August 31 so this gives you a chance to see the location and meet the teachers prior to enrolling (because we are co-habitating with the wonderful membership of New Hope Church, there aren't necessarily German instructional materials on site, but I will be sure to bring some of our supplies and posters!).

We are also soon to launch an intensive program for adults who wish to brush up on their German skills, or pick up the language for an upcoming trip, to help with family genealogy research, or just for the fun of it! Class will be starting in January 2015 and will be held at New Hope Church on Saturdays from 1PM to 3PM. Stay tunes for more details.

Hope to see you next Saturday!

I can't watch it...makes me nervous. And I wasn't falling asleep, but rather couldn't remember what I wanted to say (thus the script). :)

Updates from CKGS

We've had over 500 webpage views so far!!!

Our curriculum planning is coming along well, we are still working to isolate a Lexington location, and are waiting for our first enrollments! We have talked with three German teachers who are excited to be involved - can't wait to get things rolling!

We do hope, that after our first year with 5-12 year olds, that we can open Phase 2 to include 13-18 year olds, and eventually Phase 3 to include 19+. If there is enough interest now in other age groups, please contact us at ckgermanschool@att.net to let us know!

Please help spread the word!

Welcome to CKGS

THIS PAGE IS CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION AS OF APRIL 3, 2014.

Thank you for visiting the website for Central Kentucky German School. We are thrilled to be able to bring this opportunity to you and your family in the greater Lexington Metro Area. The modern and state-of-the-art instruction will ensure your child has an advantage over students with only one [native] language.

A second language from early childhood on is the best gift a parent could ever give their child. We are appreciative you have chosen CKGS to fill this role.

Please contact us at ckgermanschool@att.net if you have any questions or comments.
