Mission: To spread German language instruction to the youth of Central Kentucky while continuing to grow multilingualism in the region, by exposing students to languages earlier in their education. This will enable students to find language proficiency prior to reaching high school, so they can then study higher levels of language or higher levels of other content areas.

The school exists to educate students and share the German language at a younger age than public schools. No public school in the Central Kentucky Region offers German language instruction in elementary school, and only one offers it in the middle school level. There are only a half dozen high schools that even offer German! We exist to expose students to German language and culture at a much younger age, which, statistically, will make them perform better in math and sciences, their native language, and have other cognitive benefits (http://www.actfl.org/advocacy/discover-languages/for-parents/cognitive). We offer cutting edge, modern, and technology infused instruction to ensure your student has real world skills upon graduating our program. We are thankful to you for entrusting your child with us and we can't wait until their German skills begin to develop!

Thank you for visiting the CKGS Website. This project has been the brainchild of Lucas Gravitt, veteran teacher from Georgetown, KY, as well as several of his close friends, administrators, and mentors for encouragement.
